DocsWork with clients
Bin
Keep files and notes with every version, and share exactly what a client should see.
Adding to Bin
Upload a file, write or dictate a note, or import many files at once. Your team (Editors and above) adds and changes items. Uploading the same file twice does not make a second copy.
- Files up to 8 MB. Notes up to 100,000 characters.
- Up to 50 files per import and 500 a day, with 5 GB of storage per organization.
- With Google Drive connected to a workspace, you can copy Drive files in. Copies arrive team-only and are checked every six hours.
Versions and reviews
Every change keeps the earlier version. If someone saved in between, you see a conflict instead of a silent overwrite. Comments belong to a version and can point at exact text. A teammate can ask for a review, and an approval covers only the version that was approved.
Sharing with clients
An item is Team only until you share it with the client’s whole space or with one named person, optionally until a date. You can revoke a share at any time. Anything written by AI has to be reviewed before it can be shared. Clients can comment on what they can open.
Numbers, links and health
The Numbers tab works out exact figures from CSV and spreadsheet tables. Bin suggests links between items (supports, contradicts, supersedes, derived from, duplicate), and a person verifies them. Health lists show conflicting sources, likely duplicates, unsupported claims, passed review dates and items that could not be fully read.
Keeping and leaving
Admins can set keep periods from 30 days to ten years. They only move items to Trash, and they skip shared items and items in collections. Trash keeps an item for 30 days. You can export what you can open in a workspace as a ZIP of originals, extracted text and collections.
