A shared chat is one room
A single assistant thread is a fine scratchpad. It is a poor place to keep two clients. Everything you paste lives in the same history, and nothing you improve is a version the next engagement receives on purpose.
| Topic | The other way | Acumane |
|---|---|---|
| Client boundary | Whatever was pasted into the thread is in the thread. | Each client has a space. Files, memory, and members are scoped to it. |
| The method | Instructions are a preamble you rewrite, or a custom bot per client. | One agent, published as a version, linked into many spaces. |
| Who can edit | Whoever has the login. | Owners, admins, and editors change the agent. Viewers use it. |
| When you get better | You remember to paste the new prompt. | Publishing updates linked spaces. You can roll back. |
Use a shared chat for your own thinking. Use Acumane when another party's data is in the room.
